Ayurveda
Achieve and maintain optimum health and well-being.
Ayurveda has been doing for thousands of years what science has finally proven and more recently pointing out… Diet Matters! Healthy eating habits equate to a healthy body and healthy life.
For more than 5,000 years, people focused on their overall health have been practicing Ayurveda, the science of achieving and maintaining true wellness. This ancient healing practice has been reinforced by our modern understanding of how our bodies work. Create more energy, calm your mind, and improve your immune system with a customized plan for both nutrition and lifestyle.
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that means “Wisdom of Life.” Originally only taught verbally from teacher to student, Ayurveda has been passed down through many centuries as a complete healing system.
Ayurveda views everything in the universe as being some combination of three constitutional doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. We are born with a certain combination of these doshas, however, due to our environment, diet, lifestyle, and stress, we become out of balance. Incorporating Ayurveda principles into your day will help return you to balance.

“Maggie spent the time getting to know me and created a plan that I have incorporated into my daily life. The pieces of the plan are all completely attainable and I’ve been able to create small daily habits that have led to big changes in how I feel. And while it started with Ayurveda, I am now taking yoga classes and getting massages again too! I’m so grateful that my path led me to Journey of Yoga.”
