JoAnn attended her first yoga class 12 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Curious to explore the practice further, she studied and graduated from JOY’s 2015 Teacher Training program under the guidance of Maggie Durbas.
Incorporating the influences of several special mentors and styles of yoga, JoAnn is eager to share the benefits of a yoga practice focusing on alignment, movement with breath and mindfulness as a path to health including balance, flexibility and stress reduction. She tries to live by the phrase “yoga is for everybody and every body”.
She would like to thank several teachers that have had an impact on her life and practice including: Maggie Durbas, Sara Billings, Zoey Trapp, Kathryn Coyle, and Michelle Sutton.
