Heather originally came to yoga to heal running and weight training injuries, and stayed for all the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Yoga’s practices help manage and balance the stresses of life, and are a great compliment to her love of outdoor activities – hiking, biking, triathlons, camping, snowshoeing, and skiing.
Self-described as a ‘nerdy yogi’, Heather’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering from the University of Utah, and a 200-hour teacher training from Journey of Yoga. She enjoys deepening her understanding of the science behind yogic and ayurvedic practices, and sharing this knowledge with her students.
Her teaching variety draws from her personal practice, student feedback, seasons, scientific research and readings, and life. Join Heather on the mat for a well-rounded practice that provides you with space to discover and follow your inner teacher, and that will accompany you off the mat.
