Yoga is a gift and a constantly unfolding source of joy for Deb. She initially began classes to improve flexibility and strength after a shoulder operation. What she discovered, before the flexibility and strength even improved, was an immediate and abiding love of yoga. Through workshops, book discussions and classes she learned and grew, always open to the transformational experience which yoga offers.
Deb is a RYT 200, having completed the Journey of Yoga Teacher Training with Maggie Durbas. The Vinyasa Flow style of yoga which Deb teaches links breath with movement, offering a nurturing and compassionate practice for everyone. Lots of modifications are offered, both for newer students and more seasoned ones. Deb firmly believes that the happiness which yoga can bring is available to everybody, regardless of their experience. Her classes reflect this belief, weaving her knowledge, love of yoga, and joyful approach to life into every one.
Deb is married and lives in Simsbury. She has two grown sons. Deb and her husband attend yoga classes together, hike, snowshoe, golf, laugh and breathe.
